Welcome to the Charlotte sportbikes website!
This is a site which was originally being designed to help out with the Dragoneez riding group in Charlotte but I expanded a bit for anyone to pop over and participate!
Please submit any site suggestions and let us know what you'd like to see.
We have many planned and semi-unplanned rides and try to organize get-togethers in the forum. We only ask that you please participate as much as possible(participation is better than lurking). Everyone is welcome. It doesn't matter what your skill level is or what kind of bike you ride (or don't ride at all even). We are here to grow and maintain a rider base and serve as a rider information site. Stay tuned to the site for updates on rides, group outings, meet ups, community service, safety info, product info, whatever. And feel free to use our classified section to sell your local stuff.
And also be sure to check out our photo gallery (note: some items may not be considered "work safe" for some people) |

ON THIS THREAD
It is with an extremely heavy and sad heart that I type this BBS message. Yesterday, Saturday August 9th, CSB lost one of its own family members. Heejun Kim passed away, after an accident at mile marker 22 on South 181.
Heejun was a friend to a great many of us, a a co-worker to a few of us...but no matter what he was to everyone, he was an outstanding fellow rider, and an intregal part of this board, and as such, a part of our extended family. He is, and will always, be missed.
Please take a few moments, to follow
THIS THREAD to see whom's life he touched, and the fond memories of what he meant to us all.
If you can, please say a prayer for Heejun, his surviving wife Erika, and his family members, in their time of sorrow, grief, and suffering. From the family of CSB, go with peace Heejun.

January 27th marks our 1st quarterly planned trip of the 2008 riding season up to Shady Valley, to perform a community service of cleaning up the roadside. As many know, the Charlotte Dragoneez adopted 2.5 miles of our favorite road (US421) and 4 times a year we head up to our little slice of heaven to clean it up, and then play for the rest of the day.
All folks are invited, whether a member or not, and in advance, we thank you for any and all assistance that you may provide. The way that we have it worked out, it takes less than one hour to do the actual trash pickup, which means that if we get there early enough, we have the rest of the day to play. Bags and vests are provided, so all that you really need are a comfortable pair of shoes / boots.
Last trip up there, we had a lot of folks come out and lend a hand, and fun times were had by all. We invite everyone out to lend a hand, helping out a terrific community, and we all look forward to a great time!

CORNELIUS, North Carolina - This Saturday December 01st, the jolly fat man is expected to arrive at Interstate Cycle from 11am to 2pm. Everyone is welcome, so let your friends and neighbors know. Santa is a member of our friends from the local Star Riding Club, and he works as a professional Santa every Christmas. We will have a nice area setup for photos, and both the Star Riding & Charlotte Dragoneez will be on hand to take pictures.
Interstate Cycle is also proud to sponsor the Charlotte Dragoneez's ELLA Toy Drive and ride the following weekend
(DECEMBER 8TH)to support the fine folks from NorthEast Medical Center, and the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital. There’s absolutely no obligation, but if you feel like bringing something it will certainly be appreciated. We are trying to make this the best one yet. The wish list includes mobiles for babies, crayons and coloring books, art supplies, toy cars and trucks, kitchen toys (pretend food etc) musical instruments, hand held games, CDs and DVDs for teenagers and cash donations. All cash donations will be contributed to the ELLA fund, a fund established by NorthEast Medical Center to provide therapeutic supplies for pediatric patients, such as toys, games and art supplies.
